  • Mechanical devices – These machines use suction and other methods such as vibration or heat therapy to provide relief from soreness.

Benefits of Breast Massage

These include:

  • Reduce tenderness and ache.
  • Increase circulation, which can improve lymphatic drainage and reduce swelling.
  • Increase breast health by increasing blood flow to the area. This will also increase nutrient delivery to the breast tissue itself, promoting better skin tone and elasticity.
  • Increase breast size by stimulating growth hormones in your body through manual stimulation of your breasts. This works best with regular massage for at least three months or so.

According to a recent study, all 42 nursing women reported a decrease in breast and nipple discomfort after therapeutic breast massage. Some massage techniques may be more successful than others. 

How to Do Breast Massage?

Breast massage is a natural way to cope with tenderness and breast pain. It can help reduce the risk of fibrocystic breasts and even prevent cancer. Breast massage should be part of your regular self-care routine, especially if you’re at high risk for breast cancer.

You can do breast massage at home or in the office, but it’s best to do it after a hot shower when your skin is warm and relaxed. Here are some steps on how to give yourself a good rubdown.

Start by massaging both sides of your chest with oil or lotion until they feel soft and pliable. You may want to use coconut oil because it’s an antioxidant that helps fight off free radicals, and it smells great! If you don’t find coconut oil appealing on account of its taste or smell, try almond, apricot kernel, or olive oils instead. You can also choose whichever type fits into your budget. There’s no need for expensive products if all you’re looking for is relief from tenderness!

Once both sides have been softened up by rubbing them gently but firmly with the palm of one hand, start by massaging around each breast in circular motions until all parts feel equally stimulated before moving on toward specific areas such as nipples and armpits.

Breast massage may activate lymph vessels, lowering the risk of lymphedema in the arms and chest. A 2017 research revealed modest evidence that manual stimulation was beneficial. It employed MRI images to demonstrate that the stimulation assisted in the movement of surplus lymph fluid.

How Long Does the Breast Massage Take?

The answer is different for everyone. It depends on how often you do it, and it also depends on how much tenderness and pain you have in your breasts. If you have a lot of tenderness and pain, it will take longer to massage your breasts than if you have little or no tenderness and pain.

Women With Breast Pain Can Benefit From Practicing Breast Massage
