“Rush” (2013)
Ron Howard’s “Rush” was a big box-office success. The finely-tuned sports drama is based on real-life events, the 1976 Formula One World Championship, and follows the incurable rivalry between two top-level racers Austrian Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl) and Brit James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth). A perfectionist and a true genius of auto mechanics, world champion Lauda brought himself to the limit of possibilities. But he had to suspend from racing for a while because at, one of the competitions got into a serious accident and almost died. His face is covered with scars from burns, but they do not shake the strength of character and will. This masterpiece perfectly captures the allure of racing.
“Need for Speed” (2014)
Toby Marshall (Aaron Paul) is a brilliant car mechanic who has loved everything related to cars and speed since childhood.
