Some studies have shown that anxiety can appear from Vitamin B deficiency. Avocados don’t only provide Vitamin B but also monounsaturated fats and potassium, both of which help lower blood pressure. The last great thing about avocados is that you can eat them in any way you want!

Dark Chocolate

Chocolate has been proven to increase the levels of serotonin in your body, thus making you feel happy. It can also calm you down if you are stressed out. Even in the past, people have thought that chocolate is very healthy but in normal amounts.

Science has finally been able to prove this. However, not all chocolates are the same. If you want the healthiest option, pick dark chocolate and enjoy the benefits (and the taste)!

Asparagus

Depression and anxiety have also been linked to low folic acid levels. However, this is nothing to worry about because asparagus is filled with it. A cup of asparagus provides you with 2/3 of the required daily intake of folic acid! Asparagus can also be eaten with almost anything so it’s easy to prepare, and it’s pretty tasty.

Leafy Greens

Leafy greens aren’t always the tastiest of foods but are some of the healthiest. Spinach belongs to this category, and it’s perfect for battling anxiety. Spinach contains magnesium which helps with cortisol levels. Proper cortisol levels will make you feel good and promote a feeling of wellbeing.

Salmon

Salmon is rich in omega-3 fatty acids which are crucial in controlling cortisol and adrenaline levels. Fish, in general, is very healthy but salmon is one of the best sources of omega-3 fatty acids. Two to three meals containing salmon each week will make a huge difference!

Yogurt

Lactobacillus can positively affect mood. This was found by scientists who have noticed the changes in mice. The mice had anxiety symptoms, but after they were given live-culture yogurt, the anxiety symptoms disappeared. Yogurt is rich in lactobacillus which is a good probiotic for women and can help you feel better.

Nuts

Nutty foods such as almonds are rich in vitamins E and B2. These two vitamins help our body’s immune system by strengthening it once we are stressed out. Other nutty foods include walnuts, peanuts, macadamia nuts, cashews, and many others.

Oranges

Cortisol is controlled by many things, including Vitamin C. Vitamin C can be found in vast amounts in oranges. Vitamin C also helps lower blood pressure, so it’s an overall great choice if you have anxiety. You can either eat the entire orange or make orange juice without sugar. Both options are healthy!
